Job Title: Business Development Representative
Location: Brackenfell – Cape Town, Western Cape
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and objectives.
- Nurture and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Proactively develop and nurture relationships with new stakeholders to successfully build a client base, through cold calling, lead generation, networking.
- Collaborate with marketing to implement effective promotional strategies.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance and market trends.
- Maintain a real-time new business (sales) pipeline supported by comprehensive and accurate reports.
- Maximise selling time with detailed planning of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets on a consistent basis.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the outdoor power equipment sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with the outdoor power equipment industry.
- Tertiary qualification in business or related field is advantageous.
- Previous experience and proven ability to develop, secure and maintain new business, opportunities and achievement of agreed targets.
- Strong networking skills and a professional personal image.
- Target and deadline driven with a sense of urgency.
- Results driven, people’s person with the ability to converse at all levels. (fluent in English and Afrikaans)
- Exhibit self-motivation, goal orientation and the ability to work both independently and within a high-performance team environment.
- Lateral thinking, intuitive but analytical decision making.
- A positive, confident and determined approach.
- Code 08 Drivers license with own vehicle.
- Knowledge of and experience in the MS Office suite of products.
